Highly effective filter equipment - with economics and working environment in focus

To meet future demands on working environment, flexibility and productivity in the engineering industry, Absolent AB has developed effective filter equipment that is now sold all over the world.

Absolent filters offer a high degree of separation, long service intervals of up to several years, and can run continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a minimum of maintenance. The long life span of the filter enables customers to minimize production down time and other costs, such as filter replacement.

Personnel, machines and premises are purified of problematic oil smoke and oil mist. This is good both for the working environment and from a financial point of view.

Sandvik Coromant, USA, is one of the companies that has realized the advantages of Absolent’s oil-mist filters. The company has tested most filters available on the US market, and none lives up to the same high degree of separation without maintenance as Absolent products. Due to their excellent function, Absolent ODF and ODR-type filters have now been installed on most of Sandvik Coromant’s multi-operation machining centers.

As an example, one of the filters has been installed on two large multi-operation machining centers that emit extreme amounts of oil smoke. The old filter had to be
changed every other week, which led to high maintenance costs. The company decided to install an Absolent type ODR 3000 filter, and after two years in operation only one HEPA / absolute filter has needed to be changed. “We’ve been looking for a filter with
high separation and long running intervals for a long time, and the Absolent product has exceeded our expectations,” says Larry Parker, head of maintenance at Sandvik Coromant.

Boeing in Wichita is another American-based company that has discovered the benefits of Absolent filters. The company has a dozen or so ODF 1000 type filters installed in its machines for aluminium processing, and has achieved far better air purity results, while reducing costs for service and maintenance.
