Highly effective filter equipment - with economics and working environment in focus
To meet future demands on working environment, flexibility and productivity in the engineering industry, Absolent AB has developed effective filter equipment that is now sold all over the world.
Absolent filters offer a high degree of separation, long service intervals of up to several years, and can run continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a minimum of maintenance. The long life span of the filter enables customers to minimize production down time and other costs, such as filter replacement.
Personnel, machines and premises are purified of problematic oil smoke and oil mist. This is good both for the working environment and from a financial point of view.
Getrag AB
Getrag AB (former Volvo Personvagnar AB) is one of the companies that has installed Absolent's unique filter solutions.
Back in 1998, Getrag had problems with oil mist from an annealing furnace. From the beginning, the contaminated air was brought outside without filtration. This destroyed the roofing paper. To solve this problem an electrostatic filter was installed. Already after one hour of running no separation was obtained. The electrostatic filter was soon disassembled and Getrag was forced to find a new solution. The company contacted Absolent, who at that time already had two oil mist filters for evaluation at Getrag. These filters had been running for one year without any maintenance.
During the summer of 1998, Getrag installed an Absolent oil smoke filter ODR 3000 for the annealing furnace and today the company is very pleased with the filter. Since then, the furnace has been working on a daily basis of 2-3 shift and first 8 years later, in 2006, one of the filter cassettes had to be replaced
- With a separation degree of 99,997%, the air is now so clean that all of it can be returned to the premises after it has been filtered. This way we have reduced our heating costs considerably, says Stefan Wickman, service technician at Getrag.
After this successful installation Getrag has invested in several Absolent oil mist and oil smoke filters, all connected to different machining centers. Other than long service intervals, Absolent also guarantees Getrag that all sorts of oils and particle loads that figure in the plant can be handled.
